Financial Aid - User Defaults 23

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for how to set up User Defaults in ctcLink.

Audience: Financial Aid Staff

Setting Up User Defaults

Navigation:  Main Menu > Set Up SACR > User Defaults

1. Click the User Defaults 1 Tab -  Setting Defaults for Academic Information

  1. In the Academic Institution field,  enter the desired Academic Institution Code or use the lookup tool next to the field.
  2. Choose the desired Academic Institution code.

2. Click User Defaults 2 Tab – Setting Defaults for Financial and Admission Data

  1. In the Set ID field enter the desired institution code or use lookup tool.

  1. In the Aid Year field enter the desired aid year code or use the lookup tool.

  1. In the Business Unit field enter the desired institution code or use lookup tool.

  1. In the Institution Set field enter the desire institution code or use lookup tool

  1. No defaults will be set for the User Defaults 3 tab.

3. Click User Defaults 4 Tab– to set defaults for printing transcripts, award notifications and SEVIS.

  1. Click the Carry ID box.

  1. No defaults will be set for the Enrollment Override Defaults tab.

4. Click the Communication Speed Keys tab.

If this tab is not visible, click the arrow at the top right of the tabs. Click the arrow at the top left to return.

  1. Academic Institution field: Enter institution code.
  2. Administrative Function field:  Enter FINA.
  3. The Comm Key fields are added by clicking the (+) to insert a new row.
  4. For every desired Comm Key add a new row.
  5. Click the lookup tool to choose the desired Comm Key code.

  1. No defaults will be set for the User 3C Groups Summary tab
  2. No defaults will be set for the UCAS, UTT Defaults tab
  3. Click the Save button.
