Understanding Process Profile, Row and Primary Permission Lists in the User Profile

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for understanding how assigning Process Profile, Row level, and Primary permission list values are done. (These values are set both automatically and by SBCTC staff directly.)

Audience: Campus Solutions College Security Admins

Process Profile, Row and Primary Permission List

Navigation:  Main Menu > People Tools > Security > User Profiles > Distributed User Profiles > General

  1. Enter User ID

Permission Lists - Process Profile Permission List

  1. Choose one of the following of two Process Profile Permission lists to assign to user based on their role at the college.
  2. Enter the Permission List in the Process Profile textbook and tab out.

If a user is an instructor “only” assign the CTC_PT_PRCSPRFL_FACULTY Permission list, if the user is both an Instructor and Staff or employee “only” assign the CTC_PT_PRCSPRFL_STAFF Permission List.

Assign Row and Primary Permission List

There are different types of Row and Primary permission lists, here are a few. (Examples shown are for Campus Solutions).  

Row and Primary Permission Lists Description
CTC_PT_MASK_NONE Displays SSN and DOB
CTC_PC_MASK_ALL No Display SSN and DOB
CTC_PT_MASK_PARTIAL Displays partial SSN and DOB
CTC_PT_MASK_SSN Only displays DOB, no display SSN
  1. Enter the Permission List in the Primary textbox and tab out.
  2. Enter the Permission List in the Row Security textbox and tab out.
  3. Click Save.
