Importing SEVIS I-20 Data 11m

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for importing SEVIS I-20 data in ctcLink.

Audience: College Staff responsible for maintaining student information.

  1. Before entering ctcLink, you will need to retrieve file from SEVIS.
I-20 Retrieval Form
  1. Navigate to Main MenuPeopleToolsCTC CustomExtensions → Upload/Download Files.
  2. Enter the Upload data.
    1. Academic Institution: Enter or Look Up.
    2. Functional Area: Enter or click Search to select from list.
    3. Business Process Name: Enter or click Search to select from list.

  1. On the Upload Files tab, click the Upload File button.

  1. Choose File and click the Upload button.

  1. Navigate to Main Menu Campus Community SEVIS SEVIS Import Import Process.
  2. Enter an existing Run Control ID or Click the Add a New Value tab and create a new Run Control ID.
  3. Click the Add button.

  1. Enter Process Information.
    1. File Name:  Use File Name from Step 7.
    2. File Path: Use File Path from Step 7.
  2. Click the Run button.

  1. Select Processes to Run.
  2. Click the OK button.
  3. Click the Process Monitor link.

  1. Verify the process completion.
    1. Distribution Status:  Posted
    2. Run Status:  Success
  1. Navigate to Main Menu Campus CommunitySEVIS SEVIS Import →  Import Results

  1. Look up the Process Batch.
Student/EV Tab
  1. View Results.

This process will update the I-20 Form page with SEVIS ID and Status once the return file has been properly loaded.
