Entering SEVIS I-20 Data 11m

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for entering SEVIS I-20 data in ctcLink.

Audience: College Staff responsible for maintaining student information.

Note: Make sure to complete the Visa/Citizenship Data pages prior to completing I-20 Form.

Main Menu → Campus Community → SEVIS → I-20 Forms → I-20 Form

  1. Select Add a New Value tab.
  2. Enter Empl ID and SEVIS School Code or use the Look Up glass.
  3. Click the Add button.

  1. The top sections of the form populate from the data entered on the student Application and Citizenship pages.
  2. Click the Select Program Data link.
I 20 Form
  1. If only one application has been submitted for the student, that application will be selected.
  2. If more than one application exists for the student, select the program of study.
  3. Click the OK button when completed.
Program Selection
  1. Select a Student Creation Reason from the list provided.
  2. Level of Education defaults based on the student program selected.
  3. If English Proficiency Required box is selected, indicate if this has been met. If this box is unchecked, a comment box appears (comments are required regarding why English proficiency is not required for the selected program)
  4. Course of Study information is based on the program selected.

  1. Costs estimates are based on the program selected.
  2. Enter Student means of support information.
  3. Funds from Another Source must include Funding Remarks.
  4. Select the Funding Verified Checkbox. (This is required for student information to be processed.)

  1. School Certification information will default.
  2. Enter Dependent Information.
  3. Enter Remarks (if applicable).
  4. Click the Save button.

Cancelling the Visa

  1. Insert a row on the page by clicking the (+) sign.
  2. Enter or verify the effective date for the cancellation.
  3. Select a Cancellation reason.
  4. Click the Save button.
