Retrieve Electronic Transcripts 21r

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for how to retrieve transcripts in ctcLink.

Audience: Student Records

Download Transcripts

Navigation:  PeopleTools → CTC Custom → Extensions → Upload/Download Files

  1. Enter or look up the Academic Institution, Functional Area and Business Process Name. Click Search.
  1. Click the Download Files tab and enter the File Name using the SD210(COLLEGE CODE).YYYYMMDD. The File Name is case sensitive. Click Download File. Your browser will download the file.
  1. Open the document with WordPad and click OK.
  1. User may change the orientation to Landscape.
  1. Process Complete.
  2. If you see the message Download File Failed: File Name Does Not Exist then you did not receive any transcripts on this date.

I've been trying to get my unofficial transcript to view and these instructions are not helpful at all! I started at the TCC main website (not student portal) and here were the instructions:

How do I order an unofficial transcript?

An unofficial transcript contains the same information as your transcript and can be useful for your own records or placement.

If you’ve attended TCC within the past 8 years your unofficial transcript is available in ctcLink under the Student Center tab.
If you attended TCC prior to 2009, log in to My E-Services and go to the Grades & Unofficial Transcript tab.
You will need to know your student ID and inquiry PIN (your birthday in mmddyy format).

From here there was no instruction to LOGIN to the portal TO FIND the STUDENT CENTER tab. I figured that out. I didn't even see a STUDENT CENTER tab when I was in the portal, just found the ctc link by wandering. I was lucky that my computer had the portal login saved from when I attended from 2013-2015....

Okay now I'm here in the "how to use ctc" Has this even been updated? These instructions have no indidcators relevant when I return to the CTC Link Gateway or the CTC Reference Center???
This shouldn't be that hard.
How does one navigate this? Frustrated.
