Defining an Academic Statistics Period 21t
Purpose: Use this document as a reference for defining an academic statistics period in ctcLink.
Audience: Student Records staff
An academic statistics period defines the valid academic career and term combinations that the Consolidate Academic Statistics process uses to collect various academic statistics for students. An academic statistics period also defines the academic level and load rules and the statistics period type that the process uses.
Main Menu → Records and Enrollment → Enrollment Reporting → Consolidated Statistics → Define Statistics Period
- On the Define Statistics Period page, click the Add a New Value tab.
- Enter the Institution and Academic Statistics Period.
- Click the Add button.
- On the Academic Statistics Period page enter the following information:
a. Description: enter a description.
b. Statistics Period Type:
i. NS: NSC Report
ii. IP: IPEDS
iii. SR: SR Census
c. Academic Load Rule
i. Term Load Rule Applies: uses the defined academic load rules from the Academic Level Table page to calculate a student's academic load, NSC academic load, and financial aid load.
ii. Contiguous Terms: uses the defined contiguous-term academic load rules from the Statistics Period Load page to calculate a student's academic load, NSC academic load, and financial aid load.
d. Consolidation Trigger:
i. As of Date: base the snapshot date on the date in the As of Date field.
ii. As of Today: base the snapshot date on the current date.
iii. Consolidation Date: base the consolidation date on the date in the As of Date field.
e. As Of Date: enter the date for the Consolidated trigger.
f. Aid Year: identifies the specified Aid Year for the process, this field is optional.
- Click the Save button.
