Setting and Releasing Academic Standing Service Indicators 11m, 21t

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for how to place and remove holds relating to academic standing in ctcLink

Audience: Student Records

Setting the Service Indicator

Navigation:  Campus Community → Service Indicators → Person → Mass Assign

  1. Search for an existing Run Control ID or Add a New Value if this is the first time running this process. 
Add a New Value tab
  1. Enter or look up the Selection Tool, Query Name, and click Edit Prompts.
    1. Enter or look up in QueryPrompts, the Institution, Term, Stdng Actn, Srv Ind Cd and Srvc Reasn. Click OK.
    2. In the Service Indicator Data section, enter or look up the Institution, Service Indicator Code and Reason.
    3. In the Effective Period section, enter or look up the Start Term and Start Date. An accurate start date is critical for desired outcomes (ex. Hold date before registration appointment date.)
    4. Click Run.
Query Prompts section
  1. Verify the Process is checked and click OK.
Process Scheduler Request
  1. Click Process monitor to verify the process is in Success status.
  2. Process complete.

Removing the Service Indicator

Navigation:  Community → Service Indicators → Person → Mass Release

  1. Search for an existing Run Control ID or Add a New Value if this is the first time running this process.
Add a New Value tab
  1. Enter or look up the Selection Tool, Query Name and click Edit Prompts.
    1. Enter or look up in Query Prompts the Institution, Srv Ind Cd, Srvc Reasn and Stdng Actn.
    2. Click OK.
    3. In the Service Indicator Data section, enter the Institution, Service Indicator Code and Reason.
    4. In the Effective Period section, enter or look up the Start Term and Start Date.
    5. Click Run.
Query Prompts section
  1. Verify the Process is checked and click OK.
Process Scheduler Request
  1. Click Process monitor to verify the process is in Success status.
  2. Process Complete
