Adding Qualifications to a Job Opening - 17a

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for how to add job qualifications to job openings in ctcLink.

Audience: Human Resource/Recruiting Specialists, Hiring Managers and Supervisors.

Adding Qualifications a Job Opening

Navigation:  Main Menu > Recruiting > Search Job Openings

  1. Enter the Job ID in the Job Opening ID field.
  2. The Status defaults to open, change to appropriate status (for this example select Draft).
  3. Click the Search button
  4. Click on the Job Opening hyperlink (in this example Culinary Arts) in the Search Results.
  1. On the Job Opening screen, click the Qualifications tab.

  1. Select the Highest Education Level, if applicable.
  2. Enter the Years of Work Experience required for the position, if applicaple.
Work Experience or Equivalent Tab
  1. Click the Add Areas of Study button to add a specific area of study required for the position, if needed.
  2. The Date Aquired field will default to today's date, change if needed.
  3. The Area of Study field is required and will need to be entered manually.
  4. Click Save or Save and Add Another if adding more than one area of study.
Add Areas of Study
  1. Click the Add Degrees button to add a specific type of degree required for the position, if needed.
  2. The Date Aquired field defaults to today's date, change if needed.
  3. Click the lookup icon in the Degree field to select the degree required for the position. (this is a required field for this section; all other fields are optional but require manual entry).
  4. Click Save or Save and Add Another if adding more than one degree.
Add Degrees
  1. Click the Add Language Skills button to add a specific language required for the position, if needed.
  2. The Evaluation Date field defaults to today's date, change if needed.
  3. Click the lookup icon in the Language field to select the degree required for the position. (this is a required field for this section; all other fields are optional).
  4. Click Save or Save and Add Another if adding more than one language type.

The Proficiency (Reading, Speaking, and Writing) fields are optional but can be rated a Low, Moderate, or High.

  1. Click Save as Draft
