9.2 Purge Academic Advisement Report

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for producing an Academic Advisement Report or a What-If Report in ctcLink.

Audience: All staff

Academic Advisement Reports

Navigation:  NavBar > Navigator > Academic Advisement > Student Advisement > Request Advisement Report

  1. The Request Advisement Report search page displays.
  2. Select the Add a New Value tab.
  3. Enter student ID.
  4. Enter Academic Institution.
  5. Enter Report Type = "ADV".
  6. Select Add.

  2. Select Process Request.

  1. The Request Advisement Report page displays.
  2. If necessary, select the Select Institution / Career drop down menu to choose the appropriate career. Then, select Change.

  1. Select Collapse All or Expand All to either collapse or expand all requirement groups.
  2. Select the View Report Request Log link at the bottom of the page to review report request messages.

  2. Select the Advisement Report Request tab.

  2. Select View Report as PDF  to view a .pdf version of the advisement report.

What-If Reports

Navigation:  NavBar > Navigator > Academic Advisement > Student Advisement > Request Advisement Report

  1. The Request Advisement Report search page displays.
  2. Select the Add a New Value tab.
  3. Enter student ID.
  4. Enter Academic Institution.
  5. Enter Report Type = "WIF".
  6. Select Add.

  2. Select Add a What-If Course.

  1. The Course Search page displays.
  2. Enter Career.
  3. Enter Term.
  4. Enter Subject.
  5. Select Execute the Search.
  6. Select the checkbox next to the desired course.

  1. The Course Search page disappears.  The updated Advisement Report Request tab displays.
  2. Select Use Career Simulation to set up a what-if scenario.
  3. Select View/Change the Career Simulation to access the Create What-if Scenario page.

  1. The What-If page displays.
  2. To retrieve the student's existing record, select Copy Current Program.
  3. Change the field values and insert rows, as necessary. The arrows on the upper corners of the menu can be used to scroll between the various programs the student is enrolled in. For this example row 3 is selected.

  1. Enter or select the new Academic Plan in the Plan What-If Data section.
  2. Select OK.

  1. The What-If page disappears.  The updated Advisement Report Request page displays.
  2. Select Process Request.

  2. If necessary, select Select Institution/Career drop down menu to change the Career. Then, select Change.

  2. Select View Report as PDF to do so.
