Entering an External System ID

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for how to enter an external system ID into ctcLink

Audience: Campus Community staff.

You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:

  • ZC CC External System ID
  • ZD CC External System ID
  • ZD CC Super user
  • ZZ CC External System ID

You must also set these SACR Security permissions:

If you need assistance with the above security roles or SACR settings, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access

Navigation:  Menu > Campus Community > Personal Information (Student) > Identification (Student) > External System ID

  1. The External System ID search page displays.
  2. Enter Search Criteria to identify your student.
  3. Select Search.
  4. The External System ID page displays.
  5. Select the appropriate External System for your institution from the drop-down list.
  6. Enter the Effective Date.
  7. Enter the External System ID.
  8. Select Save.

Process complete.
