9.2 Assign a Student Permission

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for how to manually assign a student permission in ctcLink.

Audience: Student Financials Staff

You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:

  • ZD SF Student Permissions

If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.

Note: Manually assigning a permission form is the process staff will use to assign student permissions versus the student granting permission through self service.  Students can see the permission form manually assigned by staff and the verbiage in their self-service.

Navigation:  NavBar > Navigator > Student Financials > Charges and Payments > Assign Student Permissions

  1. The Assign Student Permissions search page displays.
  2. Enter your Business Unit.
  3. Select the Search button.

  1. The Assign Student Permissions page displays.
  2. Enter the student’s ID number.
  3. Select the Permission Form.
  4. Select an Effective Date
  5. Select a Status of "Active".
  6. The Long Description field is optional.
  7. The Originated from Self-Service box get check marked when the student initiates the permission form from their self-service application.
  8. Select the Save button.

  1. If you need to inactivate a permission form, please add a new row with a new effective date and select Inactivate.

  1. Process complete.
