9.2 Processing a Third Party Payment for Multiple Students

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for processing a third-party payment for multiple students in ctcLink.

Audience: Student Financials staff

You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:

  • ZZ SF Cashiering

If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.

Processing a Third-Party Payment for Multiple Students

Navigation:  NavBar > Navigator > Student Financials > Cashiering > Post Corporate Payments

  1. The Corporate Payments page displays.
  2. Enter Business Unit.
  3. Enter Cashier's Office.
  4. Enter your third-party payer in External Org ID.
  5. Select Add.

  1. The Corporate Payments page displays.
  2. Reference Number is an optional field to enter details about the check.
  3. Enter the payment type into the Target field.
  4. Enter the payment Amount.
  5. Enter the Term to allocate the payment to charges for a specific term (optional).
  6. Enter the Tender to indicate payment method.

Note:  Some Tender types display an additional page for additional information to be entered.  Here's a sample of the Check Information page.  Fill it out, then select OK.

  1. The Amount populates from the prior entry.
  2. Select Select Students to Pay.

  1. The Select Students to Pay page displays.
  2. Enter or search for the ID of the student to pay.
  3. Enter the Term if required or check the All Terms box.
  4. Select the Item Information link to add details about the payment for this student.

  1. The Item Information page displays.  Review it.
  2. Select Return.

  1. The Select Students to Pay page displays.
  2. Continue to add students by selecting the Add a New Row [+] icon and repeating the steps above.
  3. Select OK.

  1. The Corporate Payments page displays.
  2. Select Create Receipt.

  1. The Create Receipt button becomes the Print Receipt button.
  2. Select the Print Receipt button to print a paper receipt if required. Select New Transaction to enter a new third party payment.
