9.2 Entering Pay Increases Using Change Percent

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for how to enter employee pay increases using change percent in ctcLink.

Audience: Human Resources and Payroll Specialists.

You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:

  • ZC HR Employee Maintenance
  • ZD HR Central Config VW
  • ZD HR Admin View Job Data
  • ZD Benefits Employee Data Inq
  • ZD HR Employee Maintenance VW
  • ZD HR Limited Person Job Info
  • ZZ HR Employee Maintenance
  • ZZ SS Workforce Administrator
  • ZZ FWL HCM Pay Process

If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.

Enter a Pay Increase Using Change Percent

Navigation: NavBar > Navigator > Workforce Administration > Job Information > Job Data

  1. The Job Data search page displays.
  2. Enter the appropriate search criteria.
  3. Select the Search button.
  4. If multiple results display, select the appropriate Empl Record from the Search Results section.
Find an Existing Value tab
  1. The Job Data page displays.
  2. Use the Work Location page to specify information about an employee’s job, such as:
    • position
    • regulatory region
    • company
    • department
    • location.
  3. Information on this page reflects the last action for this employee.
  4. Select the Add a Row button  to record the pay rate change.
  5. Enter the effective date of this change in the Effective Date field. The system will default to today’s date.
  6. Select Pay Rate Change from the Action drop-down menu.
  7. Select the appropriate Reason from the drop-down menu.
Work Location tab, details section
  1. Select the Compensation tab to enter employee compensation data.
  2. The Compensation page displays.
  3. In the Pay Components section, select the Changes tab to specify compensation changes.
  4. Note: The Rate Code field contains the code or codes upon which an employee’s compensation is calculated. NAANNL and NAHRLY are the only rate codes currently used.
  5. The Change Percent field specifies the change in compensation amount by percentage for a specific rate code. Enter the desired information into the Change Percent field.
  6. Select the Calculate Compensation button.
  7. The Comparative Information section displays the most recent pay rate change information.
  8. Select the Save button.

  1.  The process to enter a pay increase using change percent is now complete.
