9.2 Update the Job Offer Status to Accepted or Rejected

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for recording the offer status of a candidate in ctcLink.

Audience: HR Recruiter.

You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:

  • ZZ Hiring Manager
  • ZZ Interested Party
  • ZZ Recruiter
  • ZZ Recruiting Admin Local

If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.

Before beginning this process, the applicant/candidate must be in a Status/Disposition of Offer, please see QRG for Preparing a Job Offer.

Additionally, the predecessor to this process is the applicant/candidate's decision to accept or decline the offer.

Updating the Applicant Status/Disposition

Navigation:  NavBar > Navigator > Recruiting > Search Job Openings

  1. The Search Job Openings search criteria page displays.
  2. Enter a specific Job Opening ID.
  3. Select the Search button.

  2. Select the Job Opening (Title) hyperlink.

  1. The Manage Job Opening page displays.
  2. Select the Applicant Name link with an Offer status in the Disposition field.
  3. Scroll to the right and select the Other Actions link.

  1. From the Other Actions sub-menu, select the Recruiting Actions link.
  2. Select Accept or Reject Offer.

  1. The Reject Offer pagelet displays.
  2. Select the Reason from the drop-down menu.
  3. Select the Reject button.

  2. Select OK button.

  1. The Manage Job Opening page displays.
  2. The Applicant's Disposition has now changed from Offer to Reject.

  1. If the job is accepted, then the Prepare for Hire Action is now available in the recruiting menu which will move the candidate to the next step in the process. The Prepare for Hire step is the last step in the process and can be done by the Recruiter.
  2. The process to update the job offer status is now complete.
  3. End of procedure.
