9.2 Viewing Workgroup Configuration

Purpose:  Use this document as a reference for viewing Workgroup screens in ctcLink.

Audience: Time and Labor Administrators.

You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:

  • ZD TL Admin View Config

If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.

Workgroups are subgroups that every employee can be enrolled in after their Job Data is created for a given Empl Record.  They are usually grouped by Payroll Pay Groups, but there can be subsets of populations within a given Pay Group (i.e. represented by a union or not represented by a union).

Note: Only SBCTC has authorization to manage Workgroup configuration.

  1. Payable Time
    • Supervisor must approve payable time otherwise it will not be generated or paid from reported time.

  2. Overtime Request
    • Overtime Requests must be approved by the supervisor when the employee submits an Overtime Request in Self-Service.
    • Only workgroups who have overtime eligible reporters need overtime approval workflow.
