9.2 Comments - Entering and Updating Comments

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for entering comments for individuals in ctcLink.

Audience: College staff responsible for maintaining student information

Use this page to enter comments for individuals. Comments have specified administrative functions and categories that have to be set up prior to being able to add a comment and save. Variable data may also appear, depending on administrative function.

Comments - Entering and Updating Comments

Navigation:  NavBar > Navigator > Campus Community > Comments > Comments-Person > Person Comment Entry

  1. The Person Comment Entry page displays.
  2. Select the Add a New Value tab.
  3. Enter ID.
  4. Select Add.

  2. Enter Administrative Function.
  3. Enter Academic Institution.
  4. Enter Comment Category.
  5. Enter Comment ID.
  6. Enter Comment Date.
  7. Enter Comment.
  8. Select Save.

  1. You can view and append to the comment by searching for the person:

Navigation:  NavBar > Navigator > Campus Community > Comments > Comments-Person > Person Comment Entry

  1. The Person Comment Entry page displays.
  2. Enter ID.
  3. Select Search.

  2. You cannot edit the original comment but can append the comment in the Append Comments box.
  3. Select Save.
