9.2 View, Add, and Release Service Indicators
Purpose: Use this document as a reference for viewing service indicator information in ctcLink.
Audience: College staff responsible for maintaining student information
View Service Indicator Information
Service Indicators and their impacts are institution-specific. Suppose a student has a Service Indicator blocking enrollment; it only affects the student’s activity at that institution.
Navigation: NavBar > Navigator > Campus Community > Service Indicators > Person > Manage Service Indicators
Navigation: NavBar > Navigator > Campus Community > Service Indicators (Student) > Manage Service Indicators
- The Manage Service Indicators search page displays.
- Enter Search Criteria to identify your student.
- Select Search.

- The Manage Service Indicators page displays.
- Select the Effect drop-down list and select the desired Effect to view: All, Positive, or Negative.
- Select Refresh.
- Select the Institution drop-down list and choose the applicable Institution.
- Select Refresh.
- The Service Indicator Summary displays at the bottom of the Manage Service Indicators page.
- Select the Code of the service indicator you'd like to view.
- If you have permission to edit service indicators, the Edit Service Indicator page displays; otherwise, the View Service Indicator page displays.
- You can review, edit the details, and release the service indicator.
- Select the Apply button to save any changes.
- Select the OK button.
Add a Service Indicator
Navigation: NavBar > Navigator > Campus Community > Service Indicators > Person > Manage Service Indicators
Navigation: NavBar > Navigator > Campus Community > Service Indicators (Student) > Manage Service Indicators
- The Manage Service Indicators search page displays.
- Enter the Student ID.
- Select the Search button.
- The Manage Service Indicators page displays.
- Select Add Service Indicator to display the Add Service Indicator page.
- The Add Service Indicator page displays.
- Complete the following fields: Use the look-up tool next to each field to select the desired values.
- Institution
- Service Indicator Code
- Reason (When Reason is selected, a description will appear)
- Start Term
- Start Date
- End Date
- Department (Department auto-populates when added on the Service Indicator Table)
- Optional: Add information for a reason for the Service Indicator by entering Comments.
- Select OK in the lower-left corner to add the Service Indicator.
Release a Service Indicator
Navigation: NavBar > Navigator > Campus Community > Service Indicators > Person > Manage Service Indicators
Navigation: NavBar > Navigator > Campus Community > Service Indicators (Student) > Manage Service Indicators
- The Manage Service Indicators search page displays.
- Enter the Student ID.
- Select the Search button.
- The Manage Service Indicators page displays.
- Select the Code link in the Service Indicator Summary section.
- The Edit Service Indicator page displays.
- Select the Release button in the top-right corner of the page.
- A confirmation message appears.
- Select the OK button.

- The Manage Service Indicator page displays.
- Process complete.
