9.2 Viewing Journal Approval

Purpose:  Use this document as a reference to view journal approvals

Audience:  Finance and Business Office Staff

Navigation:  Nav Bar > Navigator > General Ledger > Journals > Journal Entry > Create/Update Journal Entries

  1. Select the Find an Existing Value tab.
  2. Clear the default values from the search criteria and enter the desired information that best narrows your search.
  3. Select the Clear button.

  1. The Business Unit field is the only required search field - Enter the desired information into the Business Unit field. Enter a valid value e.g. "WA220".
  2. Select in the Journal ID field - Enter the desired information into the Journal ID field. Enter a valid value e.g. "0000047922".
  3. Select the Search button.
  1. Select the Approval tab.
  2. The Approval Status section shows that Approval workflow is not enabled. In this case, the Approval Status field is set automatically to Approved to Post status.  For this specific example outlined below, the Approval Status is set at Pending Approval.
  3. Use the Submit button to submit journal for approval, if workflow is enabled.
  4. Select the Submit button.
  1. You will receive this message if approval workflow is not enabled and you try to submit.
  2. Select the OK button.
  3. End of procedure.
