PERC: Running the Post Enrollment Requirement (PERC) Process
Purpose: The Post Enrollment Requirement Checking (PERC) process evaluates student eligibility to remain enrolled in next term's classes. PERC can be run before grades are posted (to assess students who are in the process of satisfying enrollment requirements) or after grades are posted (to identify students who do not satisfy enrollment requirements).
Audience: Enrollment Services staff.
You must have at least one of these local college-managed security roles:
- ZZ CM Local Configuration
- ZZ CM Post Enrollment Req
If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.
Navigation: Curriculum Management > Enrollment Requirements > Post Enroll Req Checking > Run Post Enrollment Req
- If you have run this process previously, use the Find an Existing Value tab to enter or Search for an existing Run Control ID. If this is your first time running this process, select the Add a New Value tab to create a new Run Control ID. Remember, Run Control IDs cannot be deleted; use a descriptive Run Control ID that can be reused if appropriate and also lists your institution code (e.g., WA220_PERC, 300_PERC_WINTER).
- Enter or look up the Academic Institution.
- Enter or look up the Term.
- Choose which students should be evaluated by the PERC process using the options in the Select students with the following status section. Selections made in this section will vary by local college business process.
- Enrollment Status: Choose whether to evaluate Enrolled students, Waitlisted students, or both.
- Most Recent Requirement Status: PERC will evaluate students by the requirement status that was assigned to the student when they were last evaluated (either during enrollment or by PERC, whichever status was assigned most recently).
- Select Student in Non-Compliance: This section is used to broadly select students who did not initially satisfy enrollment requirements or only conditionally satisfied enrollment requirements at the time that the student was previously evaluated.
- Not Satisfied: The student had not met the enrollment requirement for the class at the time of enrollment or when PERC last evaluated the student.
- Conditional: The student was in the process of satisfying enrollment requirements (i.e., enrolled in a prerequisite class) at the time of enrollment or when PERC last evaluated the student.
- Select Other Students: This section is used to select additional students depending on how they satisfied enrollment requirements at the time of enrollment.
- Enrollment Component: The student was enrolled using the Enrollment component, which does not evaluate enrollment requirements at the time of enrollment.
- Permitted: The student was enrolled in the class using a permission number. Most colleges do not evaluate students enrolled in the class using a permission number.
- Overridden: The student was enrolled in the class by a staff member using an override. Some colleges do not evaluate students enrolled in the class using an override.
- Satisfied: The student had met the enrollment requirement for this class at the time of enrollment or when PERC last evaluated the student. Re-evaluating this population can help to ensure that these students remain eligible for enrollment.
- Unknown: No requirement status exists for the student.
- Use the options in the Action section to specify which, if any, students should be assigned a Drop Request Indicator. The Drop Request Indicator flag can be used to select students to be included in the PERC batch drop process. ⚠️Note: PERC will not reevaluate students who have an assigned Drop Request Indicator. If you intend to run PERC more than once per term, do not assign a Drop Request Indicator unless you intend to use it to drop students shortly after each PERC process is run. Drop Request Indicators can only be removed manually or by dropping the student from class.
- If the process results in a status of Conditionally Satisfied: PERC will assign a Drop Request Indicator to students who have a “Conditional” post enrollment requirement status. “Conditional” students are those who are in the process of meeting enrollment requirements (e.g., currently enrolled in a prerequisite class).
- If the Process results in a status of Not Satisfied: PERC will assign a Drop Request Indicator to students who have a “Not Satisfied” post enrollment requirement status. These students do not meet enrollment requirements and are not in the process of satisfying enrollment requirements (e.g., are not currently enrolled in a prerequisite class).
- Select which classes PERC will evaluate:
- Population Selection: Use a population selection query when evaluating many classes, such as every class for a term or classes within a specific subject. Queries beginning with SSR_REQS_ are delivered by Oracle. To evaluate all UGRD classes by term, use SSR_REQS_CAREER.
- Manual Entry by Class: Check the Use Class Select box, then enter one or more class numbers to be evaluated by PERC. Click the Add a New Row [+] button to include multiple classes. This option is ideal when evaluating a few select classes.
- To run the process, select Run at the top of the page and then click OK. This process may take 30 minutes or longer to run, depending on the number of classes and students being evaluated. Refer to the Process Scheduling QRG for scheduling guidance.
Queries can be used to review PERC evaluation results in batch. To review PERC evaluation results for an individual class, use the Enrollment Requirement Roster.
- QCS_CM_PERC_REPORT_DETAIL (PERC Report Student Detail): This query provides the student's requirement status at enrollment, in addition to post-enrollment requirement details. The post-enrollment status is generated by running the PERC process.
- QCS_CM_PERC_REPORT_SUMMARY (PERC Report Class Summary): This query pulls the student's requirement status at the time of enrollment, in addition to post-enrollment requirement details. The post-enrollment status is generated by running the PERC process. The Drop Indicator field displays if the student has a Drop Request, indicating they did not satisfy class prerequisites.
PERC evaluates students using the enrollment requirements effective as of the date that the PERC process runs. If enrollment requirements are changed after a student is enrolled, PERC may evaluate the student in unexpected ways. Therefore, it is recommended to drop and re-enroll students into classes with enrollment requirements that must be changed after enrollment begins.

Step #15 says "Select Enrollment Request ID". However, that is not a link in PS. How do we get to the "Block Enroll Detail tab" in step #16 to review the list of students?
