Purpose: Use this document as a reference for the naming conventions used in Campus Solutions 3Cs and Message Center.
Audience: Communication builders.
A shared CS naming convention is recommended in order to facilitate the naming of various shared items in the system. In particular, standard letter codes, communications contexts, checklist items and codes and comment categories are all examples of things that are shared across CS modules. Below you will find some general conventions followed by specific conventions for 3C functions.

Financial Aid Even and Odd Year Designator
Many 3C Financial Aid processes are required to differentiate communications over two aid years. Therefore in some of the naming formats below there is a need to designate Even Years vs Odd Years.
When a one character code is required for that designation E = Even Year and F = Odd Year.
Even vs Odd will be determined based on the ending year that is identified as the aid year.
Examples:
Aid Year 2016-2017 is an Odd year.
Aid Year 2017-2018 is an Even year.
