Salary Base Calculation Report

Purpose:  Run the salary base calculation report in ctcLink.

Audience: Benefits Administrator.

You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:

  • ZD Benefits Reporting

If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.

PREREQUISITES: Employees must have Job Data and information accessible from FWL.  LTD and Optional LTD should be populated for some employees who also exist in FWL.

Salary Base Calculation Report

Navigation:  Benefits > CTC Custom > PTF LTD Report

  1. The PTF LTD Salary Base Calc. run control search page displays.
  2. Select the Add a New Value tab and enter a new Run Control ID if this is the first time ever running this report.  Otherwise, enter the existing Run Control ID.
  3. Select the Add or Search button.
  4. The PTF LTD Salary Base Calculation Report page displays.
  5. Enter the Company.
  6. Enter the As Of Date.
  7. Select one of the following the Radio buttons (Only one can be run at a time.):
    • All Active PTF
    • Active PTF with Opt LTD
    • EMPL ID(s) 
  8. Select the Run button.  
  9. The Process Scheduler Request page displays.  Select the OK button.
  10. The PTF LTD Report page displays. Notice the Process Instance number.
  11. Select the Process Monitor link.  The Process List tab displays.
  12. Select the Refresh button periodically until the Run Status is 'Success' and Distribution Status is 'Posted'.
  13. Select the Details link. The Process Detail page displays.
  14. Select the View Log/Trace link.  The View Log/Trace page displays.
  15. Select the first .log file.  The Log File page displays in a new window.
  16. The log file mentions the report is generated in the Report Manager.
  17. Close the pop-up window.  The View Log/Trace page is redisplayed.
  18. Select the Return button to close the page.
  19. Select the OK button on the Process Detail page to it.
  20. The Process List tab is now displayed from the Process Monitor page.
  21. Select the Go Back to PTF LTD Salary Base Calc at the bottom of the Process Monitor page.
  22. The PTF LTD Report page displays.
  23. Select the Report Manager link.
  24. The Report Manager page displays.
  25. Select the Administration tab.
  26. Select the ****.pdf file.
  27. Run the PTF LTD Report for additional employee types and validate data in report until all three radio buttons have been run once.
  28. To download data into Excel file format, select the Details link in Process Monitor.
  29. The Process Detail page opens. Select the View Log/Trace link under the Actions list.
  30. The View Log/Trace page opens. In the File List grid, locate the CSV file and select to open.
  31. Once opened, this file will load directly into Excel.
