CS 9.2 SACR Security: Student Groups
Purpose: Use this document as a reference on how to grant a user authorization to place a student into a Student Group, or to remove a student from a Student Group.
Audience: Local Security Administrators
Student Group Security
Navigation: Set Up SACR > Security > Secure Student Administration > User ID > Student Group Security
- The Student Group Security search page displays.
- Enter User ID.
- Enter Academic Institution.
- Select the Search button.
- The Student Group Security page displays.
- Select the Student Group hourglass to search among available Student Group values.
- The Look Up Student Group window displays.
- Enter search criteria, then select the Look Up button, or simply scroll through the entire list of Student Groups.
- Select the appropriate Student Group.
- The Look Up Student Group window disappears.
- The Student Group row populates.
- To permit the user to view, but not add/delete, this Student Group, check the Inquiry Indicator checkbox.
- To permit the user to view, add and delete this Student Group, check the Update Indicator checkbox. The Inquiry Indicator checkbox is automatically checked as well.
- To grant the user permission to an additional Student Group, select the Add a New Row [+] icon.
- A new, blank row displays.
- Repeat steps 6 through 15 until you've assigned all the Student Groups your user needs.
- To remove security to a Student Group from the user, select the Delete a Row [-] icon for the unwanted Student Group.
- A confirmation message box displays.
- Select the OK button.
- The confirmation message box disappears. The unwanted Student Group row disappears.
- Select the Save button.
- Process complete.
