9.2 Transferring Funds

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for transferring funds to select one of three transfer types to begin a funds transfer in ctcLink.

Audience: Settlement Manager, Cash/Treasury Manager

You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:

  • ZZ Treasury Maintenance

If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.

Use the Transfer Funds page to begin the setup of a funds transfer request for an EFT or bank. When you select options to create a particular funds transfer type, the system routes you to the correct pages to complete the transfer. 

You use EFT Request to transfer funds from your organization's bank to an external third party.

You use Bank Transfers to transfer money between banks that are on your organization's general ledger.

NOTE:  SBCTC is NOT using Deal Entry at this time.

Transferring Funds

Transfer Funds (ETF Transfer)

Navigation:  NavBar > Navigator > Cash Management > Fees and Transfers > Transfer Funds

  1. The Transfer Funds page displays.
  2. Select EFT Transfer.
  3. Enter Business Unit.
  4. Enter a value in the Template field to pre-populate the EFT Request Entry pages.
  5. Select Continue.

 

Transfer Funds page
  1. The Origin page displays.
  2. Enter/Modify the desired information into the Description field.
  3. Enter the desired information into the Amount field.
  4. Select the Destination tab to review or modify the information for the recipient of the funds transfer
  5. Select the Beneficiary Address tab to review or modify the beneficiary information for the funds transfer.
  6. Select Save.

Transfer Funds (Bank Transfer)

Navigation:  NavBar > Navigator > Cash Management > Fees and Transfers > Transfer Funds

  1. The Transfer Funds page displays.
  2. Select Bank Transfer.  This option moves funds between accounts that you own. If you select this option, you will select a Transfer Type of 'External Transfer' or 'Internal Transfer'. 
  3. Enter Business Unit.
  4. Select Transfer type as 'External Transfer' or 'Internal Transfer'.
  5. Enter the desired information into the Template field. 
  6. Enter the desired information into the Amount field.
  7. Select Continue.

  1. The Bank Account Transfer page displays.
  2. Enter/Modify the desired information into the Description field.
  3. Select Save.

  1. Process complete.
