CS: Local Configuration Guide - Recruiting and Admissions

The Recruiting and Admissions Configuration Guide explains necessary tables needed to setup an institution in the PeopleSoft system.  The order of the configuration tables presented in this document adheres to the table setup sequence required to successfully set up all tables.

Recruiting and Admissions configuration is dependent upon Academic Structure setup being completed.

Recruiting Center Table (College)

Define recruiting centers to assign to prospects as a way to categorize them.

Web Prospect Create Table (Global/College)

Enables the Request Information page on the Student Homepage. This is a global table with globally defined values. A row is added to this table for each college.

Admit Type Table (College)

Define admit types for prospects and applicants.

Globally determined values were configured for each college.

Region Table (Globally Defined)

Define the geographic regions that the academic institution uses for recruiting and admissions.

Fluid Applicant SS Setup (Global/College)-Define Attributes tab

Define which options on the Display Options and Additional Options pages apply to each applicant cohort listed on this page. Details on the Application Status Self Service page will not be visible to applicants who do not meet the criteria on this tab.

Set for each college and for each admit term. Future admit terms will need to be configured. The Copy Setup feature can be used to copy setup for each term, but dates will need to be changed on the Display Options and Additional Options tabs. If new Programs are created, they must be added on this page in the Valid Program and Plans section in order for Application Status to be visible to applicants to that program.

Define when decisions will be visible in Self Service for each Program Action listed.

Set for each college and for each admit term. Future admit terms will need to be configured. The End Date for Display Decisions should be set to the census date for the term.

Fluid Applicant SS Setup (Global/College)-Additional Options tab

Define display options for college contact details, accept or decline offers, and wait-list actions.

Set for each college and for each admit term. The Display Accept Decline To date value should be set to the first day of the term. Accept and Decline Activity Guides can be created to include college specific language, or the delivered Activity Guides can be updated with Global language.

Program Action Reason Table (Global/College)

Define program action reasons. One action can have multiple reasons. These reasons enable flexibility with the program action codes.

Application Center Table (College)

Define application centers to assign to applicants. Enables application fee and application waivers to be used in the Online Admission Application.

Response Reason Table (College)

Define reason codes for capturing the reason why a student decided to attend another institution or why the student did select your school. These values are globally defined for each college.
