Enroll by Class Search to Shopping Cart
Purpose: Use this document as a reference for enrolling by class search to the shopping cart through the Manage Classes tile on the ctcLink Student Homepage.
Audience: Students; Student Services staff
Navigation: Student Homepage > Manage Classes (Tile)
Search for a Class
- The Manage Classes menu displays on the left.
- Select Class Search and Enroll.
- If multiple enrollment terms are available, select the appropriate College and Term.
- The Class Search and Enroll page displays.
🔍Search Options
Choose one of the following methods to search for a class:
- Keyword – Enter a course name, subject, class, or topic.
- Favorites – View courses previously added to your Favorites.
- Recently Viewed – View courses you recently reviewed.
- Additional Ways to Search – Search by Subject, Catalog Number, and/or Instructor.
- Use the filters in the left panel to narrow your search results.
Review Available Class Sections
- Select the desired course.
- The available class sections display.
- Select the Class hyperlink to review the class details.
- The Class Information page displays.
- Review the available information using the page tabs.
- Select X to close the Class Information page.
- The list of available class sections displays.
- Select the desired class section.

- Step 1 of 3: Review Class Selection displays.
- Review the selected class information.
- If the class information is correct, select Next.
➡️ Review Class Preferences
- Step 2 of 3: Review Class Preferences displays.
- If applicable, enter a Permission Number.
- If applicable, select the Add to waitlist if class is full checkbox.
- ⚠️ Important: Choose one of the following enrollment options:
- Enroll – Register for the selected class immediately.
- Add to Shopping Cart – Save the class to your Shopping Cart to enroll later.
- Select Accept.
➡️ Review and Submit
- Step 3 of 3: Review and Submit displays.
- Review the selected class information, including:
- Class.
- Session.
- Meeting Dates.
- Days and Times.
- Seats.
- Verify the message indicates "You have selected to add to your shopping cart."
- Expand the Class Preferences section to review your selections, if needed.
- If changes are required, select Previous to return to the previous step.
- If the information is correct, select Submit.
- A confirmation message displays.
Shopping Cart Confirmation
- The Confirmation page displays.
- Review the confirmation message indicating the class was successfully added to your Shopping Cart.
- Select Shopping Cart from the left navigation menu to review the class and complete enrollment when you are ready.
📢 Important: Adding a class to your Shopping Cart does not enroll you in the class. You must complete the enrollment process from the Shopping Cart before you are officially registered.
