Extending Project or Program End Dates

Purpose:   Use this document as a reference to extend an end date of Capital Projects or Programs built within the Project Costing Module in ctcLink.

Audience:  Finance Staff

You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:

  • ZZ PC Local Configuration
  • ZZ Project Costing Processing

You must also set these User Preference Definitions:

If you need assistance with the above security roles or User Preference Definitions, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.

Extending End Dates

Navigation: Project Costing > Project Definitions > Define Project General Info

  1. The General Information search page displays.
    1. Enter the Business Unit.
    2. Enter or look up the Project ID number. Optional to use additional search criteria to refine results.
  2. Select the Search button.
  3. The General Information page displays. In the Project Schedule section, enter or use the calendar icon to lookup the new End Date.
  4. Select the Save button.
  5. Near the bottom of the page, select the Project Activities hyperlink.
On the General Information page, update the Project End Date.
  1. The Project Activities page displays. Update the End Date for each Activity to match the new Project End date.
  2. Select the Save button.
  3. Select the Return to General Information link.

If you have existing Team Members in place, the end date will also need to be updated for each person.

  1. The General Information page displays. Select the Project Team hyperlink.

  1. From the Team page, select the Team Detail tab.
  2. Update the End Date as needed for each Team Member. Use the View All link to view all team members.
  3. Select the Save button.
  4. Select Return to Project Team Summary (or select the Team tab).

  1. The Team summary page displays, note the updated End Date.
End dates are updated

Even though the End Dates were updated, please submit a Service Desk Ticket to extend the end date in Commitment Control.

  1. Process complete.
