Adding a Team Member to a Project

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for adding a team member, including a project manager, to a project in ctcLink.

Audience: College staff responsible for creating and managing projects.

You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:

  • ZZ PC Local Configuration
  • ZZ Project Costing Processing

You must also set these User Preference Definitions:

If you need assistance with the above security roles or User Preference Definitions, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.

Adding a Team Member to a Project

Navigation: Project Costing > Project Definitions > Manage Project Team

  1. The Team search page displays. Enter search criteria to locate the project:
    1. Enter or lookup the Business Unit.
    2. Enter or lookup the Project ID. Optional to use additional criteria to refine results.
  2. Select the Search button. The Team page displays.
  3. Select the plus icon [+] to add a new row in the Project Team Members section.

  1. The Team Detail page displays. Use it to enter the new team member's details:
    1. Enter or select the employee ID in the Employee ID field.
    2. Enter their email address in the Email ID field.
    3. Select the lookup icon to select the Project Role.
    4. If the staff member is the project manager, then check the Project Manager check box.
    5. The Start and End Dates default to the existing Project Start/End Dates. Optional to change the Start Date and End Date for the employee in the new role.
  2. Select the Save button.
  3. Select Return to Project Team Summary.

  1. The Team page displays displaying the new team member. Optional to select the plus icon [+] to additional roles using the listed steps above.
