Identify Hazardous Assets

Purpose:  Use this document to identify hazardous assets in Asset Management in ctcLink.

Audience: Finance

You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:

  • ZD Asset Management Inquiry
  • ZZ AM Interface Processing
  • ZZ Asset Entry

You must also set these User Preference Definitions:

If you need assistance with the above security roles or User Preference Definitions, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.

Identifying Hazardous Assets

Navigation: Asset Management > Asset Transactions > Owned Assets > Basic Add

  1. The Asset Basic Information search page displays.
  2. Enter Business Unit.
  3. Enter additional Search Criteria to identify your asset.
  4. Select the Search button.
  5. The General Information tab displays. Select the Operation/Maintenance tab.

  1. The Operation/Maintenance tab displays. Select the Hazardous Asset checkbox.
  2. Select the Hazardous Code Info... link.
  3. The Hazardous Asset Codes window displays. Enter or lookup the Hazardous Code.
  4. Select OK.

Use the Operation/Maintenance page to enter additional details about an asset, such as how to structure the asset and how to designate the asset as a resource. You can also record manufacturer and maintenance information for the asset.

  1. The Hazardous Asset Codes window disappears. Select the Save button.
