Planner (HCX)
Purpose: Use this document as a reference for moving courses to a planner within the Mobile application.
Audience: Students.
The college mobile applications will look a bit different between the various colleges. This guide is intended as a general overview. Please note that your college may have different images and options available.
Add a Course to Your Planner
- Select Enrollment from the sidebar navigation.
- The Enrollment menu expands. Select Planner.
- The Planner page displays.
- Select the Add Course button.
- The Course Catalog page displays.
- Select a Subject, then select View Courses.
- The selected subject page displays with all related courses.
- Locate the desired course.
- Select Add to Planner.
- A confirmation message displays stating, "The course has been added to your planner."
- Select the Planner menu item to return to the Planner page.
- The newly added course displays in the Unassigned section.
Assign a Course to a Term
- Select the checkbox next to the course.
- Select Move Selected.
- The Move Selected Courses pop-up window appears.
- Select an academic term from the Move To drop-down list.
- Select the Move button.
- A confirmation message displays and automatically closes.
- The Planner page refreshes and displays the course under the selected academic term.
Add a Planned Course to Your Shopping Cart
- Select the checkbox next to the course.
- Select Add To Cart. 📢 Important: Adding a course to your Shopping Cart does not enroll you in the class. It saves the selected class section until you are ready to enroll.
- The Add to Cart page displays the available class sections for the selected course.
- Select the class row to expand the Class Information details, then scroll to the bottom of the page.
Optional Actions
Enroll
📢 Important: Select Enroll only if you are ready to register for the selected class.
- If you are ready to register for the class, select Enroll.
- The Enrollment options pop-up window displays.
- Select the Save button.
- The Enrollment Results pop-up window displays.
- Click OK.
Add to Cart
📢 Important: Adding a class to your Shopping Cart does not enroll you in the class. It saves the selected class until you are ready to enroll.
- If you want to continue searching for additional classes before enrolling, select Add To Cart.
- The class is added to your Shopping Cart, where you can review and enroll in one or more classes later.
- The Enrollment options pop-up window displays.
- Select the Save button.
- A message displays, "Successfully added class to the cart."
View Deadlines
➜ Use View Deadlines to review important enrollment dates associated with the selected class.
- Review the enrollment deadlines displayed for the selected class (e.g., Drop-Retain Record, Drop with Penalty, etc.).
- Close the deadlines window when finished.
Share
➜ Use Share to copy or send course information to another person.
- Select Share.
- Copy the link to share the class with friends.
