9.2 Identify and Calculate Absence Entitlements

Purpose:  Use this document to identify and calculate absence entitlements in ctcLink.

Audience:  HR specialists.

Identify and Calculate Absence Entitlements

NOTE:  Colleges will need to validate information, SBCTC executes.

Navigation:  NavBar > Navigator > Global Payroll & Absence Mgmt > Absence and Payroll Processing > Calculate Absence and Payroll

  1. The Calculate Absence and Payroll search page displays.
  2. Use the Find an Existing Value tab for a known value OR, on the Add a New Value tab, enter the Run Control ID.
  3. Select the Add button.

  1. The Calculate Absence and Payroll page displays.
  2. Enter the appropriate Calendar Group ID from the look up menu.
  3. Check the Identify, Calculate and Suspend Active check boxes in the Processing Phases and Options section.
  4. If you want to run the Absence process in Debug Mode, select the Debug and Tuning Options link.

  1. The Debug and Performance Controls page displays.
  2. Make applicable adjustments.
  3. Select the OK button.

  1. The Calculate Absence and Payroll page displays.
  2. Select the Run button.
  3. The Process Scheduler Request page will display.
  4. Select the OK button.
  5. The Calculate Absence and Payroll page displays.
  6. Make note of the Process Instance number.
  7. Select the Process Monitor page and monitor the status until it shows Success and Posted.
  8. The process to identify and calculate absence entitlements is now complete.
  9. End of procedure.
