9.2 Create and Update SpeedType Keys

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for how to add or update speed keys in ctcLink.

Audience: Student Financials staff

Create and Update SpeedType Keys

Adding a New SpeedType

Navigation:  NavBar > Navigator > Set Up SACR > Product Related > Student Financials > General Ledger Interface > SpeedTypes

  1. The SpeedTypes search page displays.
  2. Select the Add a New Value tab.
  3. Enter SetID.
  4. Enter SpeedType Key.
  5. Select Add.

The User ID and Primary Permission List fields are not required for entry.

  1. The SpeedTypes page displays.
  2. Enter Description.
  3. Enter Type of SpeedType:
    1. "One Operator": Only the operator specified in the User ID box can use this key combination.
    2. "One Operator Class": Only the operator class specified in the Primary Permission List can use this key combination.
    3. "Universal (All Operators)": All operators are authorized to use this combination.
  4. Enter GL Business Unit.
  5. Enter Ledger.
  6. Bypass Edits checkbox is optional. Bypassing the edits enables you to set up an incomplete speed type.
  7. Enter the ChartField information.
  8. Select Save.

Updating a SpeedType

Navigation:  NavBar > Navigator > Set Up SACR > Product Related > Student Financials > General Ledger Interface > SpeedTypes

  1. The SpeedTypes search page displays.
  2. Enter SetID.
  3. Enter SpeedType Key.
  4. Select Search.

  2. Update as needed.
  3. Select Save.
