Mass EFC Calculations
Purpose: Use this document as a reference on how to use the Mass EFC Calculations page to calculate files in batch for federal methodology. This process should be used in your overnight ISIR JobSet.
Audience: Financial Aid staff responsible for the ISIR JobSet.
You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:
- ZD FA ISIR File Prcs
- ZZ FA ISIR File Prcs
- ZZ FA ISIR Processor
If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.
Mass EFC Calculations Calculations
Note: Mass EFC Calculations will be used through 2023/2024 AY. Beginning in the 2024/2025 AY, the SAI will replace the EFC.
Navigation: Financial Aid > File Management > Mass EFC Calculations
Financial Aid > File Management > Mass EFC Calculation
- The Mass EFC Calc search page displays.
- Enter the desired information into the Run Control ID field.
- Select the Search button.
- The Batch INAS Calculation page displays.
- Select the Institution field and enter the desired information.
- Select the Aid Year field and enter the desired information.
- Select the Application Type value - ctcLink uses Federal only - Enter F for Federal - The Calculate Inst NCP row automatically defaults to N.
- Select Clear Calc Requests? value - Enter Y.
- Select the Save button, as this process will be embedded into the overnight ISIR Jobset.
Selecting Y in the Clear Calc Request? field prompts the system to remove files from the tables after performing the batch calculation. Selecting Y prevents you from running batch calculation on these files again.
- You have successfully created a Run Control ID to make a batch calculation of institutional applications using Mass EFC Calculation.
- End of procedure.
