Creating a Prorated EFC
Purpose: Use this document as a reference for how to create a prorated EFC in ctcLink.
Audience: FA Counselor/Technician.
You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:
- ZZ FA ISIR Corrections
If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.
Creating a Prorated EFC
Note: This QRG will be unpublished after the 2023/2024 AY. SAI replaces EFC effective the 2024/2025 AY.
Navigation: Financial Aid > Federal Application Data > Correct 20xx-20xx ISIR records
- The ISIR Corrections 20xx/20xx Records search page displays.
- Enter Student ID.
- Enter Academic Institution in the ISIR Corrections 20xx/20xx (where xx = year in which you are working) search page.
- Select Search. The Correct 20xx-20xx ISIR records page will display with the Student Information tab selected.
- Select the EFC\DB Matches\Corr tab.
- Select the FM link under the ISIR Data section.
- The Federal Extension page displays.
- Choose CSS Rules/Values from the Option Rule Set drop-down menu.
- Select the Budget Durations link.
- The Budget Durations page displays.
- Change the Academic field to 3, 6 or 12 (where number equals month EFC value).
- Select the OK button.
- The Correct 20xx-20xx ISIR records page displays.
- Select the Calc EFC button in the ISIR Data section to complete the process.
The Prorated EFC has now changed.
- Select Save on the Corrections page--from the EFC\DB Matches\Corr tab.
- Process complete.

I noticed that button changed from INAS to Calc EFC recently. Can we get that updated?

Hi Tony, Thanks for your patience as I got this updated! Mass Calc EFC replaces what used to be the INAS button. -Kelly Forsberg, ctcLink Functional Trainer (Financial Aid)
