CE.001.3 Create I-20s (Project Archive)

User Acceptance Test Overview

The PeopleSoft I-20 page is used to collect relevant international student data to provide to SEVIS, where the actual PDF I-20 form will be generated. The page pulls existing data from multiple areas--including bio/demo tables, program/plan tables, and SEVIS configuration tables--and includes additional fields to be entered before saving. Each new student requiring an I-20 form will need this page completed individually to be included in the batch SEVIS report creation process.

If the college created the I-20 directly in SEVIS Real Time Interface (RTI) first, the college will need to add the I-20 information in PeopleSoft so it matches SEVIS RTI. The college must also manually add the student’s SEVIS ID number to their record in PeopleSoft but any I-20s created directly in SEVIS RTI.

The information below is intended to provide colleges guidance on performing a User Acceptance Test on this business process. The business process shown in the flow diagrams below may be only part of what is needed to complete an end-to-end test of a full business cycle. Coordination with other colleagues at your college in advance of commencing testing is key to success. In the same way that it doesn't take a single individual to operate the business of running a college it will require coordination across departments to successfully test a business flow from beginning to end.

CE.001.3.1 Enter SEVIS I-20 Data

CE.001.3.2 Manually Enter SEVIS ID (This test assumes that the student’s I-20 was directly created in SEVIS RTI first and the student does not need an I-20 creation event reported to SEVIS in batch)

Minimum Test Case (Data) Scenarios:
