PeopleSoft integration with SEVIS requires specific Person/Record fields in bio/demo areas be formatted according to SEVIS requirements. If a primary visa holder will be requesting dependent visas for a legal spouse or unmarried child(ren) under 21 years old, the dependent(s) must also have a Person/Record in PeopleSoft in order to be included in the batch SEVIS process. Person/Records for dependents should be formatted and updated according to SEVIS requirements.

The information below is intended to provide colleges guidance on performing a User Acceptance Test on this business process. • Staff add a Person/Record for a dependent spouse in PeopleSoft
• Staff add a Person/Record for a dependent child in PeopleSoft
• Staff add a legal name to an existing Person/Record for all dependents created in previous tests

• Error Condition: A staff member does not enter a legal name type for a dependent
  • Expected Behavior: There will be an error in the subsequent SEVIS Alerts process
• Error Condition: A staff member attempts to save a dependent record with no value in the first name field for a dependent with no first name
