9.2 Entering Union Membership (WFSE and WPEA Classified Unions Only)
Purpose: Use this document as a reference in employee's job data set up for union membership (WFSE and WPEA) reporting purposes.
Audience: HR Administrators, Payroll Administrators
NOTE: Steps contained in this document do not auto enroll new or existing employee for union deduction processing. Use this document for accurate job data set up for union (WFSE and WPEA) membership reporting. To set up employee for union deduction processing, please refer to 9.2 Creating and Ending General Deductions > 9.2 HCM Payroll > ctcLink Reference Center
9.2 Entering Union Membership (WFSE and WPEA Classified Unions Only)
Navigation: NavBar > Navigator > Workforce Administration > Job Information > Job Data
Job Data / Work Location page displays.
- In the Work Location page, click [+] to add a new effective dated row.
- Enter/select the appropriate Effective Date.
- Click the Job Labor tab.
The Job Labor page displays
- Review the Union Code field.
If blank, click the Look Up icon.
The Look Up search page displays.
- Select the applicable Union Code: WF or WP
Union Code will auto-populate in Job Labor for union represented jobs/positions if it is enabled in Job Code/Position data setup (see examples below).
It is recommended that union code entries are added/updated in Job Code/Position data screens for this purpose.
When updating Union Code for an employee whose job data record is set up to Use Position Data (button located directly below employee's Position Number on Work Location tab), click the Override {Position Data button.
This will allow users to enable Union Code field for update.
- Next, click the CTC_Job Data tab.
- Click the Union Member checkbox.
- Select the applicable OFM Bargaining Unit.
The above steps do not auto enroll employee for union deduction processing. To set up employee for union deduction processing, please refer to 9.2 Creating and Ending General Deductions.
