3C Engine - Event 3C Groups
Purpose: Use this document to reference how to update/inquire about a 3C group in ctcLink.
Audience: Campus Community staff
You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:
- ZC CC 3Cs Config
- ZC FA Local Configuration
- ZD CC 3Cs Config
- ZD FA Local Configuration
- ZZ CC 3Cs Config
If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.
You must also set the following SACR Security permissions:
Events are actions taken in the system that can automatically trigger the assignment of a checklist. This page links the security access for specific events to individual users through the 3C Groups.
NOTE: Each new Event ID needs to be connected to a 3C Group. 3C Groups are assigned to individual users to grant security to all 3C functions included in that group.
3C Groups are part of row-level security assigned to a specific user. Users will have access to all Event IDs assigned to a 3C Group. The following 3C Groups are available to assign to Event IDs:

Navigation: Campus Community > 3C Engine > Set Up 3C Engine > Event 3C Groups

- The Event 3C Groups search page displays.
- The page defaults to Find an Existing Value. Select Search to view existing values.
- A list of Event IDs displays at the bottom of the page. Select one.
- The Event 3C Groups page displays.
- Enter or look up the Group, or Groups, to associate with the Event ID.
- Select Save.
- Process complete.
