Create and Assign a Checklist
- Creating a checklist is explained step-by-step in the Checklist Process QRG.
- Assign a checklist using the Assign and Manage Checklists and Assign a Checklist in Batch QRGs.
Message Center
You can send a message using an Excel spreadsheet or query to identify your student population. You can include fields from the spreadsheet or query in the message. It is important to note that Message Center does not manage duplicate messages during the generation process; therefore, any files or queries containing duplicates should be removed, or the student will be sent the message multiple times.
- A step-by-step explanation of sending Message Center batch emails can be found in the Sending Messages in Batch QRG.
Person Communication Generation
The Assign and Send PeopleSoft Communications (3C Engine and Communication Generation) QRG provides a step-by-step explanation of assigning communications to students.
Kristen Buck
Once this is submitted, does it show up as a Task alert on the Student Homepage? If not, where can I find instructions to create student tasks?
Tanjagay Martin
Hi Kristen,
You are right on track. When a checklist is assigned (by staff), a To-Do List will display in the student's Tasks tile. For example, a staff member will initiate the checklist. Once assigned to a student, the student will view the checklist by accessing their Task tile, but the student will see a "To-Do List." Thank you for the great question! ~Tanjagay Martin | CS Core Trainer
