9.2 Academic Standing on Academic Advisement Reports

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for how to report Academic Standing on Academic Advisement Reports

Audience: Advisors

You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:

  • ZC AA ADVISEMENT REQUIRE
  • ZD AA ADVISEMENT REQUIRE
  • ZD AA Super User
  • ZZ AA ADVISEMENT REQUIRE

You must also set these SACR Security permissions:

Academic Standing on Academic Advisement Reports

Navigation:  NavBar > Navigator > Academic Advisement > Academic Requirements > Define Academic Requirements

  1. The Define Academic Requirements search page displays.
  2. Select the Add a New Value tab.
  3. Allow the Academic Requirement to default to all zeroes.  The system will assign a unique and permanent identifier later.
  4. Select Add.

  1. On the Requirement tab, fill out the following information:
    1. Effective Date
    2. Status = "Active"
    3. Requirement Usage = "ADV"
    4. Academic Institution
    5. Academic Career (optional)
    6. Academic Program (optional)
    7. Academic Plan (optional)
    8. Academic Sub-Plan (optional)
    9. Search Description (for internal reference only)
    10. Short Search Description (for internal reference only)
    11. Long Description (for internal reference only)
    12. Report Description (visible to students in the Academic Advisement Report)
    13. Report Long Description (visible to students in the Academic Advisement Report)
Requirement tab
  1. On the Line Item tab, fill out the following information:
    1. Line Type: "Condition Requirement"
    2. Search Description (for internal reference only)
    3. Short Search Description (for internal reference only)
    4. Long Description (for internal reference only)
    5. Report Description (visible to students in the Academic Advisement Report)
    6. Report Long Description (visible to students in the Academic Advisement Report)
    7. Condition Code: "Academic Standing"
    8. Condition Operator: "Equal"
    9. Condition Data: Select the academic standing code you would like to display on the Academic Advisement Report.
Line Item tab
  1. On the Line Item Detail tab, complete the required information in the Line Item Detail section:
    1. Line Detail Sequence number
    2. Line Detail Type: "CLST"
    3. Course List: Select from lookup values

  1. If necessary, use the Add a New Row [+] icon on the Line Item tab to repeat steps 6 and 7, replacing the code in  with a different Academic Standing code.
  2. Select Save.

  1. Navigate to the Define Requirement Groups page and search for the Requirement Group to which you would like to add Academic Standing. 

Navigation:  NavBar > Navigator > Academic Advisement > Academic Requirements > Define Requirement Groups

  1. On the Detail tab, select the Add a New Row [+] icon to add a new row. Add the Academic Requirement created above. Use the Line field to ensure the Academic Standing Academic Requirement will appear in the correct order.
  2. Select Save.
