Viewing the Message Log

Purpose:  Use this document as a reference on how to view the message log in ctcLink.

Audience: Finance or Business Office Staff.

You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:

  • <there are no college-assignable roles>

If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.

View the Message Log

Navigation:  Background Processes > Review Business Process Log

  1. Enter the desired information into the Process Instance field or leave blank to see all results.
  2. Select the Search button.
  3. Use the Message Log - Search page to retrieve message logs by Process Instance, Job ID, or both.
  4. Select the Search button.
  5. The Message Details page enables you to view the status of the requested process and its associated messages.
  6. Select a Details link to view additional information related to your process and the message code number.
  7. The message displays. Review and select the OK button to close the message.
  8. You can now choose to view additional Detail links, Return to Search or Notify buttons.
