9.2 Logically Delete a Journal

Purpose:  Use this as a reference document to learn how to logically delete a journal in ctcLink.

Audience:  Accounting Supervisors and Managers.

You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:

  • ZZ GL Journal Entry

You must also set these User Preference Definitions:

If you need assistance with the above security roles or User Preference Definitions, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.

Note:  the logical deletion of a journal is ONLY referring to manual journals; a subsystem created journal when deleted will be recreated and thus, the QRG is not covering the subsystem journals. A deletion of a journal is only performed when a journal has not been posted.
