9.2 Viewing the Message Log
Purpose: Use this document as a reference on how to view the message log in ctcLink.
Audience: Finance or Business Office Staff.
You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:
- <there are no college-assignable roles>
If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.
View the Message Log
Navigation: NavBar > Navigator > Background Processes > Review Message Log
- Enter the desired information into the Process Instance field. Enter a valid value e.g. "390414".
- Select the Search button.

- Use the Message Log - Search page to retrieve message logs by Process Instance, Job ID, or both.
- Select the Search button.

- The Message Details page enables you to view the status of the requested process and its associated messages.
- Select a Details link to view additional information related to your process and the message code number - select the Details link.
- Select the OK button.
