9.2 Adding a Comment (Financial Aid)
Purpose: Use this document as a reference for how to add a comment in ctcLink.
Audience: FA Counselor/Technician.
You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:
- ZC CC 3Cs User
- ZD CC 3Cs User
- ZZ CC 3Cs User
If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.
Adding a Comment
Navigation: NavBar > Navigator > Campus Community > Comments > Comments – Person > Person Comment Entry
- The Person Comment Entry search page displays.
- Select the Add a New Value tab.

- The Add a New Value page displays.
- Enter or search for the Student ID.
- Select the Add button.

- The Person Comment Entry page displays.
- Enter FINA in the Administrative Function field The Variable Data button will become active.
- Select the correct Academic Institution if the default is not correct.
- Select the appropriate Comment Category. FAGEN was used in this example.

- Select the Variable Data button.
- The Variable Data dialog box displays.
- Enter Aid Year.
- Select the OK button to close dialog box.

- Enter the desired comment in the Comments field.
- Select the Save button to save your work.

You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:
- ZD FA Director
- ZD FA Student Aid Info
- ZZ FA Student Aid Info
If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.
- Results can be viewed on the View Financial Aid Status page.
- Navigation: NavBar > Navigator > Financial Aid > View Financial Aid Status

Tip: A Comment can also be added from various Financial Aid summary pages by selecting the comment Speed Key. It takes a user directly to the Person Comment Entry page.

- Process complete.
