9.2 Creating and Accepting Absence Mgmt and T&L Delegation (Using Fluid Tile)
Purpose: Use this document to create and accept an Absence Management and Time & Labor delegation using the Fluid tile in ctcLink. The Delegation process enables the Delegate (Proxy) to approve their own Absence/Payable Time Request, as the system routes the approval transaction to both the Delegator and the Delegate, and either of them can approve the request.
Audience: Managers.
Delegation is a two-step process:
- Creating a delegation request
- Accepting the delegation request

Creating Delegation Request
Navigation: Manager Self Service (Fluid Page) > Delegations (Tile)
- Delegations tile displays three tiles:
- Create Delegation Request
- My Delegates
- My Delegated Authorities
- Select the Create Delegation Request tile.
- The Delegation Request page displays.
- The process starts at Step 1 of 4: Delegation Dates.
- Enter the Start Date and End Date. Leave End Date blank for open ended delegation.
- Enter any comments in the Comments text box.
- Select the Next button.
- Step 2 of 4: Delegates displays.
- Select the Add Delegates tab.
- The Add Delegate pagelet displays.
- Enter the User ID.
- If user ID is unknown, select the lookup icon.
- The Lookup page displays.
- Search Results will display.
- Or you can expand the Search Criteria section and enter needed criteria.
- Select the Search button.
- Search Results display.
- Select the Supervisor.
- The Add Delegate pagelet displays.
- The User ID field is now populated.
- Select the Done button to return to Step 2 of 4: Delegates page.
- Select the Next button.
- Step 3 of 4: Transactions page displays.
- This page determines which transactions you are delegating.
- Choose the Select All button.
- Select the Next button.
- Step 4 of 4: Review and Submit page displays.
- Review the details of the Delegation.
- Select the Submit button.
- The Submit action returns you to to the main Delegations page.
- Select the My Delegates tile.
- Page displays all active Delegation Status.
- The process to Create Delegation Request is complete.
Accepting Delegation Request
Navigation: Manager Self Service (Fluid Page) > Delegations (Tile)
- The Delegations page displays.
- Select the My Delegated Authorities tile.
- The My Delegated Authorities page displays.
- The Submitted tab defaults and shows submitted delegations.
- Select the check box to the left and select Accept.
- A confirmation message displays.
- Select Yes.
- A message displays confirming the submission of the delegation request.
- Select Accepted and review the delegated roles, Start Date and status of the request.
- Process to Accept Delegation is complete.
- End of procedure.
