Academic Group Table (Fluid)

Purpose:  Use this document as a reference for maintaining the Academic Group Table via Fluid navigation in ctcLink.

Audience:  Curriculum Management staff.

Academic Group Table

Navigation: ctcLink CS Staff Homepage > Curriculum Management Tile

  1. The Curriculum Management page displays.
  2. Expand Curriculum Setup Tables menu on the left.
  3. Select the Academic Group Table sub-menu list item.
  4. The Academic Group Table search page displays.

To Make Updates to an Existing Academic Group

When updating values, create a new effective dated row, and do not click the save button until all changes are complete on all tabs.

  1. Select the Find an Existing Value tab.
  2. Enter Search Criteria to identify your group.
  3. Select Search.
  4. The Academic Group Table tab displays.
  5. Select the Add a New Row [+] icon to add a new effective dated row.
  6. Enter new Effective Date and make any updates to the following fields:
    • Description
    • Short Desc
    • Course Defaults
  7. Select the Academic Career Level Table tab.
  8. The Academic Career Level Table tab displays.
  9. Update Academic Career.
  10. Select the Standard Meeting Patterns tab.
  1. The Standard Meeting Patterns tab displays.
  2. Select the Add a New Row [+] icon to add a new meeting pattern and add/update the following fields:
    • Standard Meeting Pattern
    • Description
    • Short Description
    • Days of the week checkboxes
    • Normal Class Duration
  3. Select Save.

To Add a New Academic Group

  1. Back on the Academic Group Table page, select the Add a New Value tab.
  2. Enter Academic Institution.
  3. Enter Academic Group.
  4. Select Add.
  5. The Academic Group Table tab displays.
  6. Enter an Effective Date of 1/1/1901 and the following fields:
    • Description
    • Short Desc
    • Course Defaults
  7. Select the Academic Career Level Table tab.
  8. The Academic Career Level Table tab displays.
  9. Enter Academic Career.
  10. Select the Standard Meeting Patterns tab.
  1. The Standard Meeting Patterns tab displays.
  2. Select the Add a New Row [+] icon to add additional meeting patterns with the following fields:
    • Standard Meeting Pattern
    • Description
    • Short Description
    • Days of the week checkboxes
    • Normal Class Duration
  3. Select Save.

To Verify Academic Group Addition or Update

Navigation:  ctcLink CS Staff Homepage > Curriculum Management Tile

  1. The Curriculum Management page displays.
  2. Expand the Course Catalog menu on the left.
  3. Select the Course Catalog sub-menu list item.
  4. The Course Catalog search page displays.
  5. Select the Add a New Value tab.
  6. Select Add.
  7. The Catalog Data tab displays.
  8. Select the Offerings tab.
  9. The Offerings tab displays.
  10. Select the Academic Group drop-down menu and verify the new or updated Academic Group is available for selection.

Process complete.
