Academic Group Table (Fluid)
Purpose: Use this document as a reference for maintaining the Academic Group Table via Fluid navigation in ctcLink.
Audience: Curriculum Management staff.
Academic Group Table
Navigation: ctcLink CS Staff Homepage > Curriculum Management Tile
- The Curriculum Management page displays.
- Expand Curriculum Setup Tables menu on the left.
- Select the Academic Group Table sub-menu list item.
- The Academic Group Table search page displays.
To Make Updates to an Existing Academic Group
When updating values, create a new effective dated row, and do not click the save button until all changes are complete on all tabs.
- Select the Find an Existing Value tab.
- Enter Search Criteria to identify your group.
- Select Search.
- The Academic Group Table tab displays.
- Select the Add a New Row [+] icon to add a new effective dated row.
- Enter new Effective Date and make any updates to the following fields:
- Description
- Short Desc
- Course Defaults
- Select the Academic Career Level Table tab.
- The Academic Career Level Table tab displays.
- Update Academic Career.
- Select the Standard Meeting Patterns tab.
- The Standard Meeting Patterns tab displays.
- Select the Add a New Row [+] icon to add a new meeting pattern and add/update the following fields:
- Standard Meeting Pattern
- Description
- Short Description
- Days of the week checkboxes
- Normal Class Duration
- Select Save.
To Add a New Academic Group
- Back on the Academic Group Table page, select the Add a New Value tab.
- Enter Academic Institution.
- Enter Academic Group.
- Select Add.
- The Academic Group Table tab displays.
- Enter an Effective Date of 1/1/1901 and the following fields:
- Description
- Short Desc
- Course Defaults
- Select the Academic Career Level Table tab.
- The Academic Career Level Table tab displays.
- Enter Academic Career.
- Select the Standard Meeting Patterns tab.
- The Standard Meeting Patterns tab displays.
- Select the Add a New Row [+] icon to add additional meeting patterns with the following fields:
- Standard Meeting Pattern
- Description
- Short Description
- Days of the week checkboxes
- Normal Class Duration
- Select Save.
To Verify Academic Group Addition or Update
Navigation: ctcLink CS Staff Homepage > Curriculum Management Tile
- The Curriculum Management page displays.
- Expand the Course Catalog menu on the left.
- Select the Course Catalog sub-menu list item.
- The Course Catalog search page displays.
- Select the Add a New Value tab.
- Select Add.
- The Catalog Data tab displays.
- Select the Offerings tab.
- The Offerings tab displays.
- Select the Academic Group drop-down menu and verify the new or updated Academic Group is available for selection.
Process complete.
