QARS Z-List
Purpose: To provide a guide to accessing Z-List
Audience: All Facilities Staff
QARS provides colleges with access to review potential coding anomalies that may impact state and federal reporting. The data used in QARS is sourced from a DirectLine extract applied by Data Services.
The system is refreshed with current‑month data around the 15th of each month. Any coding changes made after the refresh will not appear until the next extract file is uploaded and applied.
The Z‑List is a tool colleges use to review rooms identified as non‑conforming when space‑coding rules are applied. These rooms do not meet the criteria for established program categories such as Academic, Indirect, and others.
The report is available in QARS, for designated staff who will request using Linked form.
1. Select Login on the QARS ribbon to open the sign in menu.
2. Enter User Name (provided by Data Services from the approved QARS Request Form.)
3. Enter Password (provided by Data Services from the approved QARS Request Form.)
QARS user permissions are unique to each user and will define the report options.
4. Select My Reports from the ribbon.
5. Select The Z List from the Report Name field selection. The report will run automatically and display in a new tab.
6. Select the arrow next to the disk icon in the ribbon and select the format that suits your needs to download the results for further use.
