Running Admissions Query
Purpose: Use this document as a reference for running an admissions query in ctcLink.
Audience:Admissions Staff.
You must have at least one of these local college-managed security roles:
- ZD_DS_QUERY_VIEWER
You must also set these SACR Security permissions:
If you need assistance with the above security roles or SACR settings, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.
Navigation
- Navigation: Reporting Tools > Query > Query Viewer
- Navigation: ctcLink CS Staff Homepage > Admissions Processing > Applications to be Processed
Accessing the Query
- On the Query Viewer page, locate the Search By field.
- From the drop-down menu, select Query Name.
- In the begins with box, enter QCS_RA_ADM_APPLS, then select Search.
Running the Query
- The Search Results display at the bottom of the page.
- Select a Run To option.
- In this example, choose HTML.
- 📝Note: If HTML is the only available “Run to” hyperlink, select it to run the process. After the results are returned, you will have the option to download to Excel.
Entering Prompt Values
- The QCS_RA_ADM_APPLS Prompts page opens in a new window.
- Enter or look up values for the following fields:
- Institution (Required)
- Admit Type (Blank = all)
- Admit Term (Blank = all)
- Acad Plan (Optional)
- Select View Results.
Reviewing Query Results
- The query results display.
- Results can be downloaded as:
- Excel Spreadsheet
- CSV Text File
- XML File
Interpreting Key Columns
- The results include a column that lists SDI, SXF, and SVR Service Indicators for all institutions.
- Colleges are encouraged to monitor this information before processing applications.
- Process complete.
