ESS Update Veteran Status (Fluid)

Purpose:  Use this document as a reference to update the veteran status in ctcLink.

Audience:  Employees

Employee Self Service Update Veteran Status

Navigation:  HCM Employee Self Service > Personal Details (Tile) > Veteran Status (Tile)

  1. The Veteran Status page displays.
  2. Select the [>] to expand and read the Voluntary Self-Identification of "Protected" Veteran Status section if needed.
  3. Review the data in the section: Why Are You Being Asked to Complete This Form? Included is a link to the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
  4. Read the next section, "How Do You Know if You Are a Veteran Protected by VEVRAA?".  The categories are defined in the next section: What Categories of Veterans are Protected by VEVRAA? below and explained further in an "Am I a Protected Veteran?" infographic provided by OFCCP. Select the appropriate option.
  5. Your Name and Today's Date (system date) display.
  6. Select one of the following options:
    • I identify as one or more of the classifications of protected veteran listed below
    • I am not a protected veteran
    • I do not wish to answer
  7. Select the Submit button.
  8. A confirmation message displays, select the OK button.

The process to update the Veteran status is now complete.
