9.2 Entering Visa/Permit Data (Fluid)

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for how to enter Visa/Permit data in ctcLink Fluid, using the Admissions Processing section of the CS Staff Homepage.

Audience: Student Services staff.

Institutional level security views will prevent you from viewing Visa/Permit Data for a student at another institution. 

Entering Visa/Permit Data

Navigation: ctcLink CS Staff Homepage > Admissions Processing Tile

  1. The Admissions Processing page displays.
  2. Select the Processing Applications menu from the left-side navigation.
  3. The Processing Applications menu expands.
  4. Select the Visa Permit Data sub-menu.
  5. The Visa Permit Data page displays to the right.
  6. Enter the desired information into the ID field.
  7. Select the Search button.

  1. The Visa/Permit Data page displays.
  2. In the Country field, enter the issuing country for the student's visa or permit.
  3. In the Type field, enter the visa type issued to the student.
  4. Use the Effective Date field to enter the date on which the visa or permit is effective or the date on which the information should become effective in your database.
    • NOTE: This value automatically defaults to the current system date but can be changed as necessary.
  5. In the Number field, enter the issuance number from the student's official visa or permit.
  6. Select the Status of the official visa or permit.
  7. Enter the Status Date.
    • NOTE: This value automatically defaults to the current system date but can be changed as necessary.
  8. Enter the Issue Date from the student's official visa or permit.
  9. Enter the numeric value of the length of time the official visa or permit is valid in the Duration field.
  10. Select whether the Duration entered is a value of Days, Months, or Years in the Duration Type drop-down menu.
  11. Enter the official date on which the student entered your institution's country in the Date of Entry into Country field.
  12. Enter the Expiration Date of the student's official visa or permit.
  13. Enter the name of the agency or authority that issued the official visa or permit in the Issuing Authority field.
  14. Enter the name of the location where the official visa or permit was issued in the Issue Place field.
  15. Select Save.
