Viewing Position History

Purpose: Use this document to view position history in ctcLink.

Audience:  Human Resources staff.

You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:

  • ZC HR Position Management
  • ZD HR Employee Maintenance VW
  • ZD HR Local Config Vw
  • ZD HR Position Management VW
  • ZZ HR Position Management
  • ZZ MSS Fluid Position Management

If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.

View Position History

Navigation: Organizational Development > Position Management > Review Position/Budget Info > Position History

  1. The Position History search page displays.
  2. Enter the desired information into Position Number field.  (If you do not know the position number, enter the appropriate information (e.g. HR220) into the Business Unit field.  The video below shows using HR220 as an example).
  3. Select the Search button.
  4. Use the Position History page to view an employee's position entry and exit dates, compensation amount, salary plan and grade, and exit reason associated with the position.
